The Weekend
The last few weeks I've been able to get out and fish a little bit with my Montana brother Matt. The day after my birthday I spent fishing on the Bighorn, and just yesterday Matt and my other MT Bro Josh surprised me with a day on a exclusive spring creek just inside Paradise Valley. It was the perfect birthday present. I've heard spring creek fishing described as "Ph. D" fishing because you have to have a Ph. D in order to catch the fish...the name lived up to its reputation. The fishing was difficult, making you work the hardest you've ever had to work in order to catch the elusive and SMART wild Rainbows, Cutthroats, and Browns. The weather was perfect and the fellowship was great (although we hardly spoke because we were so focused on crouching and sneaking up to each hole and riffle). I hope you enjoy the pictures and I pray that the Lord is blessing you all in some special way just as he's done for me out on the Montana rivers.

2nd trimester and feeling...
I have now entered the supposed "honeymoon" of pregnancy. Apparently, the 2nd trimester is supposed to be just great. No more sickness, increase in energy, and all kinds off good stuff. I wouldn't know. I still feel pretty yucky these days and definitely still tired. Maybe next week I'll do better. This last weekend we went to Big Sky, a nearby ski resort, with three other couples. Peter enjoyed the slopes while I stayed back with the other two pregnant women of the group. It was a great time with friends and we are truly blessed by them all. The weather in Bozeman this week has been very nice, reaching the mid-sixties. Spring is here! We'll see how long it lasts! 2nd trimester...here we come!
I am now 12 weeks along and contrary to popular belief, I am still in my 1st trimester. Once I hit 13 weeks I will be in my 2nd trimester. I have noticed a small decrease in my sickness, but it is still present and now I have started burping up everything I eat. We went to Billings this last weekend and Peter got to fish on the Big Horn river and I did some shopping. Peter has spring break this week and is working for a friend some and staying at home some. It is even harder to go to work now that someone is still sleeping in bed when I leave! Here is the baby this week: http://www.babycenter.com/mybabycenter/112.html

dancing baby
We had our first official doctor's appointment yesterday and everything went great. Just some routine questions and such. We had an ultrasound and got to see the baby dance. It looks like a baby now and not just a bean so it was really fun. The baby first had its feet up by its head, then both of its hands by its eyes, playing peek-a-boo. Then it was kicking and jumping, the doctor said it could have the hiccups. It also looked like it was sucking its thumb. The baby had its hand by its face and its head was bobbing up and down. It was truly amazing and so fun to see. I can't feel the baby kicking inside me, but the baby sure is kicking my butt! I am very tired and just not feeling good at all. Hopefully I only have a little less than 2 weeks left of the sickness. Peter, as always, is great. He had part of the day off yesterday so he got to come to the doctor. Then he became Mr. Homemaker. He went home and made blueberry muffins, roasted a chicken, including stuffing, then used the leftover bones to make chicken stock and also made homemade bread, with no bread machine! He is setting the bar high for when I hopefully can stay home! I love it and I can't believe how blessed I am. When you trust Jesus, He comes through better than you can expect.
