just because i feel sorry for you

our camera is broken and we won't get our new one for a few more days. i don't want to share all the pictures that deea took because some might be in christmas cards but here is another one of buglin.these pictures are a little older and the last one shows how kale spends most of his days. as mentioned earlier, he absolutely loves books. when i get a little pile together to read to him on the couch, he can barely hold himself together he is so excited. i love it. playing on the very small patch of grass outside our house that doesn't have dog poop on it. we love our neighbors!

we had our family pictures taken last weekend by our friend deea and here is one of many great ones of kbug.
kale has been keeping us very busy. our camera is broken so i can't illustrate his shenanigans but last week he crawled into the dishwasher. i turned around to unload something and when i turned back, he was standing on the door. he now climbs the stairs up to our apartment, at least he does when he isn't taking breaks to taste the stairs.

he LOVES his books and will sit and "read" them for long periods of time. takes after his mama.

he is now crawling on his hands and knees and sometimes on his hands and feet, as you can see from the video below. make sure you watch all the way to the end...

lucky 13

as i sit here, i have just helped kale down from standing in his crib for the 3rd time this nap. he hasn't done it since last time we found him but now seems to be pretty proud of his new feat! if only he could figure out how to sit back down! cute and annoying both at the same time...but mostly cute. i had to bribe him with my phone so he wouldn't lunge at me to try and get the camera

it's okay to be jealous

peter made turning 26 much more fun than i had anticipated. coming into the house on monday after driving back to bozeman from hingham, i found the house clean and all the grocery shopping done for the week. the meals were not only planned and shopped for but also cooked. um, yeah, amazing.

in our bedroom i found an invitation to dinner at a posh restaurant in town and peter's brother john was going to baby sit. peter also had bought me a new skirt to wear out on the town that night. yeah, it gets better.

we had a great time at dinner and came home to strawberries and champagne and another gift, this one from victoria's secret :)

peter also made me a homemade chocolate cheesecake which is so good i have to keep busy all day so i don't eat all of it in one sitting. nibbling througout the day doesn't count as a whole piece, right? he also baked a loaf of homemade bread and made caramel apples. jealous yet?

he thought of every detail and took lots of time to make sure my day and week were special. i can't express how thankful i am for my man and how well he loves me. (and for the chocolate cheesecake)
