2nd trimester and feeling...

I have now entered the supposed "honeymoon" of pregnancy. Apparently, the 2nd trimester is supposed to be just great. No more sickness, increase in energy, and all kinds off good stuff. I wouldn't know. I still feel pretty yucky these days and definitely still tired. Maybe next week I'll do better. This last weekend we went to Big Sky, a nearby ski resort, with three other couples. Peter enjoyed the slopes while I stayed back with the other two pregnant women of the group. It was a great time with friends and we are truly blessed by them all. The weather in Bozeman this week has been very nice, reaching the mid-sixties. Spring is here! We'll see how long it lasts! Here is what is happening with the baby: http://www.babycenter.com/mybabycenter/113.html

The second trimester really is the best--but it's more a gradual shift away from the tired, yucky feelings rather than a defined switch-over, at least that's how I felt. You still need lots of rest and protein. I found that small, high protein snacks actually helped me better than crackers... Another month or so and you get the joy of feeling the baby kick your butt from the inside. Literally. It's weird to have internal organs prodded from the middle of your body.

Enjoy!

I agree with Kiersten. I think one day you will realize that you feel lots better and you don't really know when it happened, just a little at a time. Keep taking good care of yourself, getting rest and keeping busy doing fun stuff with your great hubby and great friends. We are looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Tell Peter to get the Bert's beans ready!!

I hope baby moore has more mathmatical sense than nana joanie. Aunt Vanessa pointed out my error. I guess I thought somehow that you would be pregnant for 365 days. Next time it feels like forever, just remember it could be longer if my math was even close!!
