daddy and me

My boys taking a rest.
Today was my first day on my own. All the grammas are gone and Peter was at work. I was anxious yesterday about being by myself but it went very well. The Lord blessed me with peace and confidence. We slept in this morning and then went to the bank where I used to work and introduced Kale to everyone. Of course he was a hit. Then we spent the afternoon with the Schuylers. Kale has been getting a little more fussy, but nothing we can't handle. He gets up every 3 hours in the night to eat, sometimes going 3 1/2 hours. He eats and sleeps during the day, with a little awake time stuck in there. He loves his carseat and swing and especially being held. He is a great little buddy, we love him very much!

He is growing so much-just in a week...look at peters cheeks they're really filling out...I mean Kales:) I get those boys confused :)

I'm glad you survived your first day on your own-I knew you would!

Liam started getting a little fussy around this age too, it seemed to be his tummy--he loved having his legs pumped like riding a bicycle on his back, it broke up any gas bubbles that might have formed. That and tummy massages...

I'm glad your first day on your own went well. I remember when we were on our own after 10 days before Mike's parents came to visit--I was amazed we survived!

When your friends ask if they can help, have them fold laundry or fix you lunch! My friend Rochelle actually came over and cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed for us once during those first weeks--she was a godsend!

I love the pictures, you guys look like happy, tired (a given), new parents. There are lots of prayers and love and well-wishes coming your way from Kentucky every day.

I remember the bicycle legs and tummy massages too! Seems like it was clockwise circles that were supposed to be the best on the tummy. At least it gave me the feeling that I was trying to do something to help my baby.

Hang in there and carry on! You are great parents and Kale is so blessed to have you both!

Peter,
I'm glad to see you still listen to parents advice. See second picture from bottom Peter and Kale sleeping.
#1 rule for new parents. Sleep when baby sleeps.
You guys are doing great!
Great pictures.
