Message in a Bottle

We have officially sent our adoption dossier. After all the hard work gathering paperwork and signatures and notaries and State certifications, Home-studies, garage sales, fingerprints, background checks and interviews, now.... we wait - wait for a referral - wait for our next for-ever child(ren). Now we continue to pray in faith that God reminds us He's in control.

And so while we begin our journey of waiting, tonight we celebrated this milestone in our adoption with a bottle of wine that  I brought home from South Africa last July - the closest anyone in our family's been to our child(ren) in Ethiopia so far. Without reading the description of the wine until tonight, it was to our surprise and with much delight, God sent us a little message of encouragement for the trials and journey ahead. Buitenverwachting (the name of our bottle) in Dutch means "Beyond Expectation."
